Pack Systems and A La Carte Pack Items

Down East has worked with several companies to produce our own packs which we will use in our continued research and development into load bearing systems. A limited number of these packs are available for purchase directly from DEI.
The unique #1606 frame allows us to combine the heavy load carriage and stability of an external frame, with the comfort and ergonomics of an internal frame. Our 3-day sized pack is rated over 120lbs. and will fit in the overhead bin of a commercial airliner.

The DEI#1645 pack system is a military
style patrol pack based on our popular #1606 airborne assault frame.
The pack has roughly 2400 cu. in. of storage space in addition to numerous
PALS matrixes. Currently available in Multicam and UCP, our packs are made with 1000D Cordura for improved durability. A civilian style version will soon be available. |

The hip belts and shoulder pads are produced by Eagle Industries, a world leader in quality military products. The packs are sewn up by Log House Designs, a local company with a long history of manufacturing fine hiking gear. |
