DEI’s #1584 quick release buckle is designed to provide easy operation and fail-safe release of rucksack shoulder straps and slings. Intended from the start for military applications, it is highly durable and is capable of supporting loads of greater then 200 lbs.

The #1584 QR is currently available in black, tan, and green.

The #1584 buckle was selected for use on U.S. Military’s latest generation of combat field rucks, including both the MOLLE and SPEAR systems. Fully assembled dimensions are 3.5” x 1.6 ” x 0.75” and weighs only .06 lbs.

Mounting the #1584 buckle (left) on a shoulder pad…  Slots in the bottom of the buckle allow 1” webbing to thread under the buckle to securely anchored it.

Locking the #1584 QR Buckle together is easy to do with one hand… 

Put the tip of your thumb into the recess on the top of the lever and curl your index finger under the tongue... 

Now, push down on the lever with your thumb WHILE at the same time pressing the tongue into the buckle body with your index finger.

Releasing the #1584 Buckle (left) is just as simple…. Simply pull the lanyard in an upward motion. The buckle will easily disengage from the tongue.
